Volunteering for the Career Center
Urban Financial Services Coalition is seeking volunteers for the Career Center Task Force. Join us in our efforts to connect minority financial professionals and students with career opportunities with financial institutions, government agencies and private employers who value diversity, inclusion and equity.
Share your expertise, network with colleagues and enhance resume by volunteering with the UFSC Career Center Task Force. Current members and non-members are encouraged to find out more about contributing their time and skills to this effort.
Some of the volunteer opportunities are as follows:
- Career Center Professional: assist taskforce in developing and executing events and activities that connect employers and minority professionals/students
- Intern Center Coordinator: assist task force in reaching out to employers to list their internship opportunities in the UFSC Career Center and partner with college career centers to have students up load their resumes so they can be connected with financial services internship opportunities
- Social Media: Assist the task force in developing and executing social media campaigns to promote the career center, increase awareness about job opportunities, and increase the exposure of minority professionals
- Mock Interviewer: The Mock interview program is designed to give minority professionals and students an opportunity to deliberately practice their interview skills, receive feedback and build confidence for real interviews.
