About the Speaker:

Darryl R. Matthews, Sr.

Past 32^nd General President, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Darryl R. Matthews, Sr. is an experienced senior association executive who currently serves as the Principal Consultant of 32^ndGP Consulting.  Most recently, he held positions as President & CEO of the National Society of Black CPA (NSBCPA) and National Partnership Specialist and Congressional Liaison in the Atlanta Region for the 2020 Decennial Census.  Darryl previously served as the Outreach Officer for the Department of Procurement in the City of Atlanta, GA., the Executive Director and COO of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), the National Medical Association (NMA), the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He was responsible for the day-to-day management of these national organizations and the development and execution of the organization’s strategic objectives; Darryl received high praise for his leadership and vision.

From 2005-2008 Darryl served as the 32nd General President and Chairman of the board of directors for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He presided over the fraternity’s highly acclaimed Centennial convention and the ceremonial groundbreaking for the King, Jr Memorial.

Darryl Matthews is an alumnus of the University of Central Missouri (formerly Central Missouri State University) in Warrensburg, Missouri, with has a degree in political science and sociology.
