Announcing the UFSC Detroit Scholarship to Honor the late Dr. Aubrey Lee Sr – Now Accepting Applications
We are excited to announce the Urban Financial Services Coalition Detroit Chapter Scholarship to Honor the late Dr. Aubrey Lee Sr.
He was a role model to countless bankers over the years, especially within UFSC. Lee was a pioneer and is credited as the first African- American to take a managerial role at the National Bank of Detroit (NBD) in 1966. Lee used this role to bring more African-Americans in as employees and managers and extend commercial loans to minority businesses. This scholarship was created to continue Dr. Lee’s legacy the help college students reach their educational goals and learn about opportunities in the financial industry.
The Dr. Aubrey Lee Sr. scholarship is open to minority students residing in Michigan, Junior or Senior enrolled in college, majoring in Finance and Business related disciplines. If you are interested in applying, please visit Aubrey Lee Scholarship (ufscdetroit.org)
